Shaving

“He who does not shave you, does not cut you.” (Somalia)

I love people. Sometimes I overshare. This proverb is a reminder that not everyone you love should know everything about you. If they know what places are sensitive and can cut deep, they will use it. There are some things that can be used against you, hurt you, kill you. It is okay to have friends, family, acquaintances that know because they would never slice you, and it’s important to know who is who. I remind myself sometimes that keeping people close to you can be dangerous. Those who love you; however, will never intentionally hurt you. Know who you can trust and then they will never slice you.
